THE KINDNESS CIRCLE

A mission rooted in kindness, dignity, and the belief that a better, more peaceful future begins with compassion and respect.

Our Vision

We believe in a world where every underprivileged person and family experiences the warmth of compassion, respect, and dignity, with access to nutritious food and joyful moments. A world where hunger and poverty are eradicated through sustainable solutions rooted in fairness, collective action, and the pursuit of equality. By contributing to zero hunger (SDG 2) and reduced inequalities (SDG 10), we strive to build a future where no one is left behind.

Our Mission

To collectively deliver hands-on, sustainable, high-quality, impactful solutions that address hunger and poverty while supporting local economies and fair trade practices.

Our History

In 2014, Siama Qadar British Investment banker founded what was then known as Merciful Hands UAE with a simple yet profound goal to give back unconditionally and ensure no one in need goes hungry. What started as a small personal effort quickly grew, driven by her determination, resilience, and deep belief in the power of compassion. With the support of friends, family, local businesses, volunteers, and corporate sponsors, Merciful Hands UAE has flourished, providing thousands of meals and moments of joy. For Siama, this journey is more than just charity, it’s soul-nurturing work, a mission rooted in kindness, dignity, and the belief that a better, more peaceful future begins with compassion and respect at the heart of everything she does.

Building Stronger Teams by Making a Difference

Team Building & Impact

Strengthen team bonds as you come together to give back. Working side by side for a noble cause fosters a sense of unity, compassion, and shared purpose.

Humility & Gratitude

As your team serves those in need, you’ll develop a profound sense of humility. Witnessing the struggles of others and seeing the joy your simple act of kindness brings will help cultivate a heart full of gratitude and appreciation for the blessings we often take for granted.

Emotional Growth

This experience stirs powerful emotions, empathy, kindness, and compassion that help deepen your team’s sense of connection to the community. You’ll feel joy in giving, humility in serving, and collective pride in making a meaningful difference.

Leadership Empowerment

Participating in distributions strengthens the bond between leaders and teams by fostering shared experiences, collaboration, and a sense of purpose beyond the workplace.

The Business Impact of Doing Good

Strengthen your Brand Value Through Impact

In today’s world, consumers increasingly prioritise brands that align with their values. A commitment to charitable work not only signals corporate social responsibility (CSR) and ethical practices but also attracts positive media coverage, amplifying your brand’s visibility and reputation. These factors influence purchasing decisions and build lasting loyalty as a socially conscious company.

Attract Top Talents

Charitable work attracts top talent by showcasing a company’s strong values, purpose, and dedication to making a positive impact. It appeals to professionals who prioritise meaningful, purpose-driven careers and want to be part of an organisation committed to creating change.

Create Content for Your Social Networks

Whether you hire our film crew or use your own, participating in distributions or iftars provides an excellent opportunity to create impactful and memorable content that resonates with your communities. Additionally, we can connect you with content creators and influencers to help amplify the reach and impact of your message even further.

F.A.Q

Are you a registered charity?
Currently, we are a collective with authorisations (permits) from the Islamic Affairs Office to distribute. We do not collect funds ourselves. We coordinate efforts. If you decide to contribute, you will pay directly to the kitchen & vendors we partner with, (or your own ones if they match our quality standards).
How much should I / We Contribute?
We welcome any contribution, with no minimum requirement, although the recommended practice has been 1,000 meals. To provide some context regarding our operational costs, please note that a full hot iftar meal per person typically ranges from Dh10 to Dh12.
Where are the Iftars and distributions?
For Iftars, we operate multiple sites in the Jebel Ali Industrial Site 1 Labor camp vicinity. For the distributions, we work all around the country as long as we have the right permits.
Can we film?
Yes. Generally speaking, we encourage you to hire our film crew as they have sufficient experience to know how to best capture the distributions but should you prefer using your own crew, we are happy to accommodate them.
Can we invite the press? Issue a press release?
Yes, you’re welcome to invite the press to cover the Iftar distributions. We’re happy to collaborate with you on creating thoughtful and impactful content. However, we kindly ask that all content be created with sensitivity and respect for the communities we support.
How many people from my company can come?
We always mix experienced volunteers with new volunteers. For one iftar, we can accommodate a maximum of 30 people and a maximum of 20 for a distribution. However, if your team is bigger, talk to us. We can find creative solutions such as splitting over a few events /distributions or sites.
How much time do we need to commit?
For Iftars: An Iftar starts at 16:00 and finishes at 18:30. For distributions it is typically half a day. We run distributions during the weekend.
Can we choose our date?
Absolutely! We can collaborate to find a date that works for you. Any available dates can be reserved for your team.
